Teens & STI's!

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are infections that can be transmitted through close sexual contact, including oral, vaginal, or anal sex. They can also spread by sharing sex toys or aids. Anyone who is sexually active, regardless of age, gender, or sexuality, can contract an STI. Engaging in sex without using a condom, or not using a condom correctly, increases this risk. STIs can cause discomfort, embarrassment, and irritation. They may also have long-term effects on your health, such as pain and infertility. Some STIs that cause significant damage to the body may not show any symptoms at all.
